2/20/06

About the pictures - I tried to post these on Friday, but for some reason, it wasn't working. For those of you that don't know, these are my parents!!
Before I start, I have to correct something from my list on Saturday night. (Thank you, Sarah, for pointing this out to me!) My #1 has to do with my pump that I use when at work, and it makes it sound like I am still giving breastmilk to Gavin. Though I'm not entirely opposed to that, since breastmilk is so good for our babies...that does seem more than a little weird...so - I am NOT giving it to Gavin. The "he" in that sentence is referring to Ezekiel. Just in case you read that and were wondering, but didn't want to ask - there you go.

Ok, now that that is out of the way...here I go...off to my Monday list :

1) Today is Monday and Jason is home! Its so nice that he had today off.

2) Getting a lot packed up yesterday - I'm not feeling the heaviness of stress that I was feeling last week about packing/moving.

3) Jason taking Gavin on an errand with him to San Clemente today - giving me some time to read and hang out with Ezekiel alone.

4) Dan coming down this morning to take us to breakfast and play with Gavin for awhile

5) Going into this move, we had to buy: a washer/dryer, refrigerator, and furniture for Gavin's room. Today, I am blessed to report that we are being given each of these things for FREE! How God provides for us!

6) The phone conversation I had with Sarah last night - it was fun to laugh and talk. I don't do that with many people, but Sarah is one of the people I like to just "chat" with. And gosh, I haven't hung out with her in like 2 weeks or something, so I'm kind of going through withdrawals!

7) Ezekiel sleeping well in the swing lately. He used to just cry and now he falls asleep pretty quickly and its great because it keeps him upright to help his breathing and congestion.

8) Ezekiel's pediatrician- she is easy-going and does not like to "treat" unless she absolutely has to. I like that about her. She thinks he has a little virus and should be better very soon. I was concerned because he doesn't seem to be getting better - neither is he worse - but he has had a fever the last 3-4 nights. She didn't seem concerned and that reassured me. The little trickster is cooing and laughing at the dr. as I'm trying to tell her that he really has been sick...

9) My hair being long enough to fit into little ponytails. It really helps when its dirty and I don't have time to wash it or fix it

10) My friendship with my mom. I awoke from a dream this morning with a horrible feeling about a dream I had had, but couldn't remember it. When my mom called me this morning, I did remember it and it was about her and I and how we were in a fight...this would NEVER happen nowadays, but I remember years ago, in my selfish, sullen teenage years this could have been reality. That must have been a horrible time for my mom and I am SO thankful for her forgiving me for those times and being my friend now.
