a few new things

On Monday, while I was at work, I gave my notice to my boss. I'm quitting my job at UCI with a mix of emotions. I have been there almost 5 years and am sad at the thought of leaving. Most of what I love about UCI is that I belong. Everyone knows me. I know what I'm doing. Its comfortable. I've finally gotten the courage to do something I've thought about doing for awhile. I'm going to do registry. What is registry? Its the equivalent of substitute teachers - but its nurses in the hospital. The main reason is that it is 100 times more flexible. I can work whenever I want. I can work once a week or once a month. Doesn't matter. I'm looking forward to that. The scheduling of my shifts with Jason's work schedule has been stressful for me the past year or so. It doesn't hurt that I will make more money, either! I will continue at UCI until Oct 13th - thats my last shift. The funny thing is I can work at UCI as registry too - once I quit!

Yesterday we had a repairman here for 2 1/2 hours working on the microwave that hasn't worked for almost 2 weeks. I'm so thrilled its fixed now. Thank you Mark for getting it fixed for us! I didn't realize how much I used the microwave.

Today I did some grocery shopping at Whole Foods. It was my first time shopping there and was not the best experience since I was with all 3 kids, Gavin had to go poop once and Ezekiel twice while we were there, we were all hungry and I didn't have a grocery list or know where anything was. BUT - I made the best of it, gave the boys snacks and tried to have lots of patience :-) I really like that store! Right now, I do almost all my shopping at Mothers and Trader Joes. I would love to have 1 store that I can get everything at rather than 2 stores. I'm going to make a detailed list and do all my shopping there next time and see how it goes! The whole reason I went was to purchase gdiapers:
These are a hybrid between cloth and disposable diapers. I'm excited to try them out. They are biodegradable and you can actually flush them if you want! The outside is a cloth type diaper. I'm going to start using them tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes. Its more expensive for sure, but I think its worth it to be more "green" in this area and stop adding diapers to the landfills that will never biodegrade.

Oooo, I've been looking at those. You can buy them on Amazon, might be cheaper but I don't know. Please let me know how you like them because I'd like to use them too for T-man. I just bough the Nature's Choice diapers from Target but I haven't used them yet.

Let me know.. Ive heard mixed things. I heard people dont like the diaper part? I tried 7th generation bc they are chlorine free, but Owen leaked through them all of the time.
