RACE DAY!

I'm not one to brag...oh wait, YES I AM!!!
Though we both ran a great race (Jason's first time running that far!), yes, I did beat him :) However, it was only by 3 minutes and I'm pretty sure next time, he's not going to let me win!
It was very windy in parts and that was frustrating because it slowed me down - its hard to keep a good pace going against hard wind. I ran it in 1:43:54(which is a PR for me)...and since the first mile was slow - getting through everyone else starting, that means my pace on the rest was probably about 7:50 or so. Thats good for me - for that distance! I'm proud of myself. I pushed myself hard, sprinted the end (passing like 7 people in the last few seconds of the race) and felt good after it was over (after the initial dry heaving from exertion).
And thanks to Sally for keeping our kids for us - it would have been a NIGHTMARE to push them in the wind!! Plus they had MUCH more fun with her than they would have being pushed on a long run!!
