full life!

We are busy, and I know as the kids get older, we will continue to get busier. This past weekend we went to a birthday party for a friend of Gavin's from church. I think it was his first party he went to that was not a family member/child of one of my friends. He had so much fun - as did Ezekiel and I was a little surprised he wanted to get his face painted. Fully painted. See below. I've learned that with the age of 5 comes the importance of birthday parties. Who to invite, what to do, what theme to have, etc. I often hear Gavin telling Ezekiel he's not going to invite him to his 6-year-old party if Ezekiel keeps______ (fill in the blank - whatever he's doing that Gavin doesn't like). We also frequently have a conversation - mostly in the car for some reason - about what he's going to do for his party....at the reptile store("maybe not because the snakes are a little big")....at a jump place....at Chuck E. Cheese("maybe not because the big mouse comes out and scares me")...the possibilities are endless...Today while Gavin was at school Ezekiel told me his next birthday party was going to be at Chuck E. Cheese's...obviously he has caught on to this game. It IS rather disheartening to the boys that their respective birthdays are so far away. Gavin understands...Ezekiel thinks 9 months is tomorrow.

Violet has weird hair. She has a lot, but its not long all over. Just the top. It bugs me because if I leave it as is, it is in her eyes. I would think she would be annoyed by it. At the gym last week, the caretaker(Eva- a post for another time) put her hair in a ponytail in front. It was super cute and I told her I couldn't find rubber bands small enough to do that. She told me she would get me some and a few days later, delivered on her promise. She gave me a package of about 100 tiny rubber bands. So, Saturday Violet had pigtails. The boys love them and have asked every day since then for me to put her hair in pigtails. I think its very cute and I'm surprised Violet doesn't try and pull them out.
That picture isn't the best because its taken with my iPhone and unless the subject is completely still (impossible with children) the pictures are blurry. But, you get the idea. And yes, we are at Target. Buying the birthday present we had forgotten to buy the night before when we were there...
Why is it kids cough only at night? Jason and I have a joke about it - as soon as we lay down to go to sleep, the boys start coughing...its strange. Thats random, but I just heard Gavin cough, so that means its time for me to go to bed.
Good night!
