Yesterday we went to dog beach with my mom and Charlie (dog). It was very warm and so of course the boys enjoyed the water and lots of playing in the sand. V hung out in the sling perfectly happy and Charlie ran around to his heart's content. I was taking a picture of G and he "struck a pose." Then another, and another...probably 8 or 9 times. I was trying so hard not to laugh because he would get into a pose, shine a brilliant smile at me and say "how about this, mom?" Oh wow. He thinks he' s a model...
Then theres my snotty boy Ezekiel. Ummm...snotty just in the nose I mean. And I guess otherwise at times, if we're all honest with ourselves :-)
Today we(by we I mean Jason carved and the rest of us watched) carved our pumpkin. We lit it tonight after bathtime and the boys were so excited. They even kissed the pumpkin good night.
Just messing around the other day - the boys were practicing their skateboarding skills on the rug. Random pic...where's Ezekiel? Maybe in time-out...hahaha
I think I mentioned Violet was getting some cereal. I give it to her most nights as the boys are eating their dinner. She LOVES it. She grabs the spoon and shoves it into her mouth if I don't put it in fast enough.

*We are loving Jason's new shift. They are now telling him he might go back to his old shift next month and I'm hoping he doesn't!.
*I have worked 2 registry shifts. My first one was HARD!!! I was uncomfortable and left to "sink" by the other nurses. It was an unnaturally busy day in the little ER I was in and I was swamped all day. Plus I got ONE 30 min break in 12.5 hours of working!!!!! Thats not much!!! The second day, which was Monday, was SO much better! I enjoyed it and had a fairly easy day. Thats more like it!
*So...preschool for Gavin...long story...he has asked repeatedly when he is starting school. He LOVED it and I was feeling bad he wasn't in it. He told me MOPS (every other Wed) is boring because all the kids are younger and he's the teachers helper. Shoot. And he is 5...he loves learning and mental stimulation...the majority of kids his age are in Kindergarten! Then yesterday he told me he really wanted to go back to his awesome old school(his words). I was going to put him into the HB community preschool, but that isn't until January and I don't know if I can get him in for sure. I have gone back and forth on this - and i know its not that big of a deal...but I still wanted to do the right thing for Gav. I called his old preschool this morning after doing some online research and realizing the price was cheap compared to other preschools --and it turns out there is an opening in the Mon-Wed-Fri class for 5-year olds. SO...yup - you guessed it. Back to preschool he goes. He's super excited and I'm glad. Remember all my talk about "doing stuff at home" with him?? Well...turns out that SUPER hard if you have other kids and don't have a structured program to follow - which I didn't want - its PRESCHOOL! A few months ago part of the reason we didn't re-enroll him is it was just another bill...but the job I'm working now makes more than UCI - enough to cover preschool. Perfect.
*I guess thats it for now...
