Gavin & Ez tried on Nannie's glasses

Gavin wanted this picture on the blog--just to show what a good dog Shima is.
You know how sometimes you have those days/weeks where everything seems to go wrong? I kind of feel like that has been my week. Just to mention a few things...We owe money on taxes (more than just a few hundred bucks...), we need a new washing machine, my brand-new cell phone broke (1 month old), I had to take a last minute CPR class last night and I locked my keys in the car. Not so bad, you say. Just have Jason bring the spare to unlock it. Oh, wait, thats why we need a spare key! Yeah, no spare key for the Altima. So, Jason had to put the kids in the car (at 7pm)--after working 7 hours overtime and getting just a tiny bit of sleep--drive to Mission Viejo and break into the car...which took about 45 minutes. And he wasn't even mad at me! What a guy. So the great thing is - I have so much to be thankful for. Our home phone works now because Verizon came to fix the line that had a short in it, we had an old cell phone that I can use, our washing machine still works - just will need to be replaced in the next few months, and I have a job that I can just work a little extra to make the money for the taxes. On top of that, I have food to eat, a roof over my head, healthy children and so much more.
Onto a fun event - today I went to a shower for Sarah and my new niece Addison. Sarah's friend threw it for her and it was so beautiful. Addison got some great outfits and other baby knick-knacks and I got to socialize with a bunch of women for 3 hours
sans kiddos. I have always thought I would be happy if I had all boys. The decision for a 3rd kid for us is still up in the air, but I'm pretty sure I would love to have a girl. Its not just the clothes, either. Though I would love to dress a girl...its the relationship and bond that is different than a mother-son relationship. Then again, if I had a girl like me.... :-)
