is it really February??

Tuesday was gorgeous and we found ourselves wondering if it is indeed FEBRUARY! We enjoyed the sunny afternoon downtown HB and tried to fly the kid's kite, but since it was the only day of the year where there was no wind down there, the kite idea fell flat (literally...). We had a picnic with friends and enjoyed coffee and farmers market produce!
Sunday morning was an early wake up and my parents, Jason and Angela and Angela's mom joined up at my house before heading off to our race. Angela stayed to babysit the kids and the rest of us ran the half marathon. Angela amazingly took the kids down to HB and tried to see us running - they managed to see Poppy...did I mention she was 9 months pregnant?? We had a great time running. It was beautiful and probably the most fun race I have ever run. My mom, and I ran the whole race together. My brother Jason was with us until the last 2 miles or so. It was such a fun experience to have someone to run with and to finish crossing the finish line together - holding hands (sounds cheesy...but it was really cool)...thanks mom :)
After the race we had a Super Bowl/ Jason's birthday party at Jason and Angela's. Right after the singing of the national anthem, Angela squealed and stood up in a pool of water...yup - her water broke. Jason and Angela welcomed Grace Rose on Feb 2 at 8:37am. Angela did amazing and our new niece is beautiful!!!

First time meeting Uncle Jason

New cousin!! The boys LOVE Grace!

The start of it all...

Our pretty girl...can't believe it was us with Violet almost a year ago!
Yesterday we got to hang out with Daniel and Bethany, who came down to meet Grace and then last night we all met up at my parent's house and had dinner together. My mom and Gavin were fighting for holding Grace time...that kid LOVES babies! He asked us on the way home if we could go to Uncle Jason and Aunt Angela's house soon so he could hold Grace again. So sweet. We love you Gracie girl!!
