This morning Jason and I woke up very well rested. Why? You ask?...Because we went to bed at 8pm and woke up at 7:30am!! We were EXHAUSTED last night! Friday night we only slept about 3 1/2 hours and Saturday night we slept almost 4 hours...on top of that we ran our first 10K Camp Pendleton Mud Run yesterday morning. It was SO FUN!! It was a run that was much harder than we expected...but we both finished! We run up hills, through rivers, through tunnels, across a reservoir, over 6 foot walls, through mud tunnels - you get the picture(more muddy pictures to come). We ran with about 10 of our friends and are pretty sure we will be better trained next year. Both of us made a goal to run it under an hour next year(I have to shave 1 minute off and Jason has to shave...just a few more minutes...but says he gurantees first place next year)! After the run we came home to collect our boys who had spent 24 fun hours with Nana and Papa Dan and go to a bar-b-q. It was a great day that left us all tired and ready for bed!
On Saturday we got to watch my Dad graduate from Cal Poly Pomona. To say we are proud of him is an uderstatement. It was the culmination of a dream that is many years old. He also graduated with the Magna Cum Laude honor for his amazing GPA. GREAT JOB DAD!! WE ARE SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO PROUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We hung out with family after the graduation - including Grandma and Grandpa Gregory (who we only get to see every so often!) until midnight...then spent the night at Jason and Angela's. Or rather we took a long nap until our alarm went off at 4:45am...off to run!
So that was our fun weekend. Today we are a little sore, but feeling good :-)

*I'm thankful that we have family that would stay with our kids overnight so we could do some stuff that is not so kid-friendly
*Strong bodies to run 6.2 miles
*A few more days off with Jason
*Time spent with our whole family after dad's graduation - Daniel and Bethany drove down from SF

Have a great day!!
