Well, I promised a bit more on the labor, etc...Lets see...I went into labor at 2am Friday morning. A contraction woke me up, and unlike my other 2 labors, it did not take long for me to know I was in labor. (I was in denial for hours with the boys..) After several contractions, I called my mom at 3am and she was at my house be 4am. We walked up and down our street for almost 2 hours...and then spent the rest of the time in the living room. My mom was an amazing coach reminding me to walk between contractions and telling me when the next one would begin. I got to the hospital around 7:45am and was already 10cm dilated (to my surprise!!)...at 8:16am our beautiful girl was born. Several days earlier, my mom and I created a "birth plan" over coffee and later on in the day Friday, she pulled it out and we found that everything was as I desired. It was definitely one of the hardest things I have ever done...to mentally stay above the pain...but I would not change a thing about it. It was perfect for me.
Violet has been a great baby. She is mellow, sleeps a lot and is nursing great. She seems to be a bit confused with her days and nights...but in time she will work that out! She had some jaundice and we had to go to the hospital Wed and today to check her bilirubin, but it had lowered by today so she is done with those tests. The boys continue to love her and want to constantly hold her, kiss her, hug her, give her things, feed her, etc. They cannot get enough of her.
Jason has kept our house clean, laundry done and our church has provided meals every other night which will continue through mid-april! Wow! I am feeling good and just enjoying the boys and the time with Violet as a newborn...it will go so quickly.
Here are a few pictures...
