I used to think that being busy with a baby was a good reason for me not to read my Bible...I had so many things to do...I was so busy, I mean, when I did have free time, shouldn't I nap, or do something relaxing for ME?? As I have started this year reading the 1 year Bible, I realize how much I have missed being in God's word. Yeah, I would read a few verses here and there, but nothing consistent. This last week and a half I have soaked up my 20 minute readings - there is so much I have forgotten about different Bible stories! And now that I have 2 babies, I realize I need God's word in my life even more desperately. Every stage of life is different, but even for the hardest busiest times, for me, reading my Bible has become a necessity.

Today I am thankful for:

1) Jason meeting a Christian on the first day of his Academy

2) Jason meeting another guy who lives in Costa Mesa, so they are going to carpool!!

3) That both boys are sleeping right now

4) Getting to go the Disneyland today with Sarah and Ben

5) The realization that in a little over a month, I'm going to have a dishwasher!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I haven't had one in a few years...)

6) Gavin and Ezekiel having cousins so close to them in age. It will be so fun in years to come at family get togethers (and it is fun now, watching Gavin and Ben kiss each other and Gavin and Jesse play together when given the opportunity)

7) The little girls at Disneyland who won a toy car and gave it to Gavin

8) The beautiful sunny day today

9) My car - that I can change the kids in the back wherever we are

10) My David Crowder cd. My heart rejoices when I listen to it

I have more...

11) Gavin being SO GOOD!! yesterday while we ran a bunch of errands - he was in and out of the car for 3 hours!

12) Finally sending a christmas package that I have been trying to do for ...3 weeks...sorry darren!

13) Shima being housebroken - at least thats one thing I don't have to clean up when I get home...

14) My mom's blog. Check it out: (http://sherrygregoryblog.blogspot.com)

ahrinCarrie, this is awesome, I love your heart for the Lord. I am reading the One Year Bible too, so we can keep each other accountable. :) Thank you for sharing!
