I'm still here!!

I promise to update soon with some pictures from Miss V's 2nd birthday party, our family celebration on her actual birthday at Disneyland...and some other stuff. As anyone who has a job, or a child, or both knows that life is SO BUSY.
Gavin continues to excel in school and this week has been reading books to anyone who will listen to show his great skills. He even read a book to my mom on Skype! Ezekiel is going to preschool 2-3 times a week and most days looks forward to going. Violet is a CRACK-UP...2 years old and she has a brilliant personality. The other day in the car we had this conversation:
Violet: Mom, I wanna call me Dr Suess

Me: So you want your name to be Dr Seuss??
Violet: YES
Me: Hi Dr Suess
Violet: (without hesitation) Hi. I six.

She makes us laugh. She is definitely the life of the party in this house. Unless the boys are dancing in their underwear to blaring music that is.

Work for Jason and I is...work. Right now its tough, to be honest. We have 1 night at home together at the most all week and that just makes it hard. We are hoping Jason will be going back to day shift in April - meaning he would work a few days less a month and be home at night. That would be great. I enjoy work, but don't love that I HAVE to work 2 days a week just to pay our bills. I look forward to a time when I won't.

Last night Jason and I went on a little date to Mothers Market. We went to a seminar by an ultramarathoner names Scott Jurek who is also vegan. It was very inspiring and Jason and I both left ready to sign up for an ultra. :) Just kidding. Maybe someday. We got burritos to go (yes vegan!) and went home and ate them while watching The Office. Our last time on TV since on Monday I'm canceling our cable. Yes, again.

Have a great weekend - the next update will include pictures!

Violet is such a crack-up and has such a "girlie cuteness" about her :-)

Praying work/life will ease up a bit.

Send me some running "inspiration" over the Internet. . . hard to run in this heat!
