happy 2008!

I'm not a huge fan of resolutions, because it seems they rarely last. And they seem so cliche. However, I think its a good time to reflect on the year behind us and the year in front of us...and maybe think about how I would like the coming year to be different. One thing I want to be better at this year is remember birthdays and anniversaries of my family and friends. I hate forgetting. On my birthday, it means so much when I get a call or a card in the mail...just knowing someone else was thinking of me is cool. So...that's one thing I'm going to work toward this year.
Lately what have we been up to? Hmmm...I made it through working Saturday and Sunday nights (I rarely work 2 in a row - and haven't done it in many months!) with minimal damage and am actually on the schedule for another month. I might pick up a few day shifts after that, but this is my last month of working nights! When I come back from maternity, if they do not want to give me day shift, I'm going to "go elsewhere."
The boys are doing well...and some exciting news - they have decided on a name for the baby. No, we do not know the gender, but thankfully, this name is unisex. We are proud to share it...Baby Pumbaa. Ezekiel actually came up with the name during a reading of The Lion King and cracked himself up for about 5 minutes. The boys now lift my shirt and kiss my belly saying "hi baby Pumbaa." "I love you baby Pumbaa." I'm trying to emotionally prepare them for the reality that we might not use that name...
Last night we had the treat of going out to dinner and a movie - all free to us thanks to gift certificates - while Papa Dan stayed with the boys. They had a blast! First thing Ezekiel said to me when I got him out of bed this morning at 6:15am..."where's Papa Dan?"
Next baby appointment is next Tuesday, and then I start my every 2 week appointments! Can't believe its that time already. I was awake in bed for too long the other night thinking of things to do before the baby...yeah, we have all the basics, but there are some things I should probably do/get before that time...I know it seems premature, but these last 2 months are going to go fast! I guess that means we should start thinking of names, right?? Right. Believe me - we are thinking...we just struggle in this department. If this baby is indeed a boy...he might go home as "baby boy prince..." No exaggeration. Any names you might want to suggest would be great...we like slightly different, at least 2 syllables, not TOO unique...not traditional...yeah -see the problem??

Bradley was named the 6th of Feb...he was born on the 12th. You'll come up with one. :)

I'm gonna go with Oliver for the boy name because I always thought I'd consider it if we had a second boy. I actually suggested it to a friend when she was looking for names and she took me up on it though she doesn't remember that. Anyways she's in boston and you're there so I think you could use it!
