Last week, Gavin had his first day of kindergarten. He was apprehensive to say the least and cried on several different occasions leading up to that actual day. I was anxious as well, and felt so sad that he is already 6. He is growing up TOO FAST! We got him some new school clothes and he had his new backpack (thanks Sarah!) and Jonas Brothers lunch box (why? i have no idea. I think our 8 year old neighbor likes them...) and we were ready to go. To complicate things, we have to drive him to Seal Beach for school that starts at 7:55(only 2 more weeks of that)! Its an early morning!

Gavin has done great! He was very sad when we left the first day, but was smiling when we picked him up. He missed the 3rd day because of a fever, but this week has been good. One thing that makes me sad is there is a boy being mean to him. A boy in his class calls him names and chases him..bullies - already?? I want to go up to his mom and tell her that her kid is a menace. But no, for now, I will let Gavin deal with his problems himself. He has to learn how to do that! I'm keeping a close eye on it, don't worry!

Whaaaaaaaat? Who could be mean to Gavin? That's crazy! It makes me so sad to think about it... I can't imagine how it makes YOU feel! I'm so sorry! I'll pray that Gavin will make some great friends and that they will stick up for each other against this bully, and that this bully will have a change of heart and see the coolest, sweetest guy in the class is Gavin.
