Less than a week...

Until my marathon. I'm already a bit nervous, but excited at the same time. Since I have not run as well this past month, I don't think I'll make my original goal to beat a certain time....but I will FINISH and that will be an amazing accomplishment for me.

*I'm grateful we got to see Sarah, Mark and Ben Friday and that was fun...we all (especially Sarah!) anxiously await the arrival of our new neice or nephew!

*I'm so thankful I didn't work Friday night...a patient came in with a very serious (most likely fatal) and very contagious bacterial infection that didn't get diagnosed for several hours. All the staff in the ER that came into contact with her had to be treated with a strong antibiotic. I'm just glad I didn't get exposed to it.

*My 2 nights of work are over and I am home for over a week before I work again. WOW - we were SO BUSY both nights. Made the nights go fairly fast, but a lot of hard work was involved.

*Jason straightened up the backyard and the house today before he went to work - and he did laundry while I slept today.

*I got to talk to my grandparents tonight --they are in Texas and I know they appreciated my call and I enjoyed chatting with them.

*Gavin's sweet proclomations for his love for me...he tells me he loves me at random times and I love that.

*Judy coming over Saturday morning so I could go to a baby shower

*LATE: my older brother had a birthday last week. He and my parents came over and enjoyed a meal my mom cooked with the kids and I. It was fun to be with him on his birthday, since my sister-in-law had class that night. My brother is a sweet, generous man. He loves his wife tremendously as well as his family. He is loyal and thougthful and of course a fantastic uncle! The kids had fun playing with him...I can always thank HIM when its 9pm and Gavin is still riled up from running around with him :-) I don't mind.

*OH - and my mom made an amazing low-fat torte(for Jason's birthday). YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess thats enough. My kids are asleep, its not even 8pm and I've made myself a list of to-dos. I might forgo the list and just do what I want, but we'll see. The night is young, and even on 3 hours of sleep today, I'm feeling good!

I'm so excited these days about running and can't wait to here how it goes with the marathon. Didn't realize it was so fast approaching. I've been running regularly and love it! Go Carrie!
