This is late, but I have to be thankful for 2 people as their birthdays have passed! I am thankful for Jason's sister, Sarah. She is thoughtful and earnest; her desire is to follow Jesus and she is always striving toward that goal. She was around Gavin alot as a baby, so he loves his Aunt Sarah! He loves all his other aunts and uncles too! She is encouraging and loving, helpful and sweet. I am so thankful for a sister-in-law like Sarah. Yesterday was Dan, Jason's dad's birthday. I am thankful for him so much as well! The first thing I think of is how supportive he has always been to Jason and I. In whatever we have done, he has been one of our biggest cheerleaders. And he LOVES his grandkids! He is always trying to see them when he has a day off or has some time on the weekends. He is gracious, loving and also strives to be the man God has created him to be. He gives advice when asked and does not give it when not asked - which is difficult to do sometimes! I am lucky to have Jason, but also those that come with marriage to him...his family.
*Our kid's grandparents all living close so they can see each of them fairly often
*Most of our brothers and sister living close by too (except Darren and Pam! But we love SF and it gives us an excuse to visit)
*The pumpkin patch Mariners had on Saturday night--we met up with Mark, Sarah and Ben and had a great time
*Our church-- that faces the major issues in culture, even if they are uncomfortable and messy
*Jason and the kids being able to see the Prince family to celebrate birthdays tonight while I'm working (shoot, I miss out!)
*Gavin being happy during his haircuts now. I remember a day when he screamed the whole time
*Ez's long curls - Jason thinks we should cut them, but I'm not ready - mullet or not!
*Craigslist! Our washer died over the weekend so we have to buy a new one and craigslist has tons for good prices!

Thank you for the sweet words. We missed you tonight! but we've had fun with you these past couple of days... and I LOVE the necklace and sweater!!
thanks for you kind words, Carrie. I appreciate you so much. What a great mom you are! We missed you tonight, so I ate your share!! Ask Jason about the chocolate-cherry cake he was SUPPOSED to bring you and see if he ate it all instead! Dan
